1 How do I measure the door?

Measuring sliding doors:
Measure the frame according to the instructions below. Ensure that the frame has the correct rebates, and determine the opening at the bottom of the door based on your situation.

Note! The drawing below assumes a 30mm width margin, 8mm at the bottom, and 12mm at the top. These margins depend on your sliding door system, so be sure to adopt these margins from the supplier of these systems.

Determining bottom opening:
The opening at the bottom of the door is at least 6mm from the finished floor. Carpets require a higher space than harder floors; therefore, add extra height for carpets when determining the opening. Often, the opening beneath interior doors is used as ventilation passage between different rooms, which may require a larger opening.

Replacing existing door:
If you are replacing existing doors and want to reuse the frame, it is useful to measure these existing doors and provide their dimensions.

2 How do I determine the swing direction?

There is a useful rule for determining the direction of opening of a door. You must stand on the side of the door to which the door opens. If the hinges hang on the right, the swing direction is right. If the hinges hang on the left, you know that the swing direction is left.

6 Which materials and colors are available?

The doors that are made by Texturize come in three different materials:

Solid Wood

The doors in Solid Wood are made using laminated pieces of timber. A variety of finishes are available, such as white-wash and varnish. This natural timber look is unique in the world of design doors. See the product pages for more info on the finishes and what is means for your design.

Multiplex + HPL

These doors are made using sheets multiplex that are finished with a colorfull sheet of HPL at the front and back of the product. The sides of the multplex remain unfinished, so this product features a contemporary and sturdy look. Click here to see a list of currently available top layers.

Solid Color

Our products are available in Solid Color, this means a perfectly finished product where even the side sof the material are covered. Click here to see a list of currently available RAL colors.

7 Can you create a design for my project?

Yes, we can create a specific design tailored to your project. Whether you prefer geometric or organic looks, we'll work to integrate our products seamlessly into your project.

Two options are available:

  • Project-specific modification of an existing product
  • Completely new design based on your preferences

Design services are quoted and billed separately from the delivered products.

8 Can I design the door myself?

Yes, it's possible to submit your own design, pattern, or company logo for a door. Note that not all shapes may be feasible: openings cannot be too small, and the solid parts of the door have minimum dimensions.

Additional fees apply for the elaboration and review of submitted drawings, quoted and billed separately from the products.

9 Are your doors available as exterior doors?

Currently, Texturize doors are only available as interior doors. Feel free to contact us with this question, and we will reach out if this changes.

10 What is the lead time for your products?

All our products are custom-made for the customer. We aim to deliver ordered products within 3 months of the order.

11 Do you also supply frames?

Currently, we do not supply frames with the doors, but our production partner does. Contact us, and we will connect you with this partner.

12 Can the doors be adjusted on-site?

Yes, this option is available. The bottom can be slightly extended upon request, allowing the door to be cut to size on-site. This is done at your own risk. For the best results, we recommend measuring the door on-site and installing it without modifications.

13 In which countries can the doors be ordered?

Currently, the doors can be ordered within the borders of the European Union. Additional fees apply for transportation, which may be higher for countries outside the Netherlands.
